Mariah Garcia grew up in Anza and graduated from Hamilton High School in 2016, making her a familiar face in the community."She went on to pursue her dream of becoming a dental assistant through trade school, and we know that with her big heart, she would want to help other students in her community pursue their dreams too," said scholarship organizer Berlin Guzman.Tragically, Garcia would never see those dreams come to fruition. She died in an automobile accident in 2018."Each year, I have the honor of presenting the Mariah Garcia Scholarship to a Hamilton High School graduate attending trade school.
