Car carrying two plunges 30 feet of Highway 79

SAN JACINTO (CNS) - Firefighters hoisted two people to safety from a vehicle that plunged 30 feet off a hillside today along Highway 79 just north of Gilman Springs Road, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.Information on possible injuries was not immediately available.The California Highway Patrol first reported at 12:24 p.m. that a sedan had hit the center divider and spun off the roadway via the right shoulder, CHP logs show.A fire engine was reported to be blocking the No. 2 lane as of 12:46 p.m.
