I was about 8 years old when I participated in my first jog-a-thon. I really didn’t understand the concept. I actually thought it was a competition. I remember running around the small track and hearing my Nana yell my name. “Go Zac! You can do it,” she said. The moment I heard her voice I started running faster. I was determined to beat everyone. I was sorely disappointed at the end of the event. I didn’t win. In fact, no one did. I’m so glad that our life isn’t a jog-a-thon. We are in a race, and we’re running to win.
