County approves funding agreement with RCTC for Mayberry Avenue sidewalks

Riverside County approved a funding agreement with the Riverside County Transportation Commission to construct approximately 1,200 feet of sidewalk along Mayberry Avenue in unincorporated Hemet.A 5-0 Riverside County Board of Supervisors vote, Tuesday, May 5, approved the agreement in which the RCTC will provide $408,375 of Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Program funding. The project has an estimated cost of $544,500, and the county will tentatively provide a $136,125 match using gas tax revenue.Sidewalks would be constructed on the north side of Mayberry Avenue between Peartree Lane and Casino Road.
