Murrieta Police Chief Sean Hadden announces retirement

Valley News StaffAfter more than seven years of service as the city of Murrieta’s chief of police, Sean Hadden has chosen to retire from law enforcement after 34 years, effective Wednesday, Dec. 30.The announcement was made in a news release issued by the department Thursday, Dec. 3.Hadden began his career with the Perris Police Department in 1986 as a community service officer after graduating from Perris High School and trained at the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Academy. Upon passing his test, he worked as a patrol officer before becoming the city’s first motorcycle officer.Hadden left the department in 1992 to join the Murrieta Police Department as one of the first 26 original sworn officers.
