ANZA - A collision involving a gravel hauler and a pickup truck partially blocked Highway 371 west of Anza this afternoon, but no injuries were reported.
The crash occurred at 2:20 p.m. on the northbound side of the two-lane highway, near Lake Riverside Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Tthe gravel truck, which was hauling a trailer, and the Chevrolet Silverado pickup collided, leaving the pickup facing the wrong way in the northbound lane. The gravel truck coasted to the shoulder of the roadway.
Damage to the gravel truck triggered a massive leak of hydraulic fluid, requiring a cleanup operation, according to reports from the scene.
CHP officers diverted traffic around the wreckage, using the southbound lane going in both directions at the site of the collision.
