A new F45 Training facility, located on the border of Murrieta and Wildomar, held their grand opening Saturday, April 24, and owners Brad and Cara Coonradt, could not be more excited to be sharing their love of fitness with the community.

Brad, a senior marketing manager for Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Cara, a middle-school teacher in Menifee, had originally planned to open their location in March 2020, but due to the pandemic, had to put things off until their soft opening this past November.

“The grand opening was a great day celebrating the spirit that is F45: music, community and positive energy,” Cara said. “We love of our members and were so thrilled to celebrate with them.”

The F45 gyms are franchises, and though connected as a community, they are not part of a chain and not the same as big-box gyms. Most are family-owned, member-focused and community-oriented. For many, fitness is also connected to a safe place and a community, and the F45 gyms all adhere to strict safety measures.

All F45 trainers are certified personal trainers that not only motivate members but also ensure proper form, challenge members to achieve their goals, and provide a fun energy-filled environment that makes each sweat session fly by. The “F” stands for functional training, and the sessions are usually no longer than 45 minutes.

The workouts are fueled and organized by the robust technology systems that they have in place in all their studios. A series of TVs mounted on the front wall of the studios provide an organized, station-by-station diagram for each daily workout.

“F45 is awesome,” Joanrae Miller said, who is not only a registered nurse from Menifee, but also a professional fitness competitor. “Because of F45, I am more mindful of what I eat, I smile more, laugh tons, and I am a sweaty mess after every session. It is a great environment and has helped me prioritize investing in my overall wellness. We get to be around others who constantly encourage and empower each other. It has been so instrumental for my fitness journey as a body builder because it is simply efficient and effective.”

With the guidance and motivation of the F45 trainers, this system is a visual tool for members to progress from exercise station to station throughout the workout. There is also an F45 Challenge app that includes on-demand, at-home training as well as nutrition guidance.

“Our current 45-Day Health Challenge will conclude Wednesday, May 12, and we are so excited to see the positive results of all our participants who have put in the work,” Brad said. “We look forward to our next Challenge in June…but don’t wait until then get a jump-start. Come join us for a free one-week trial to see what F45 is all about.”

The Murrieta North location is at 36100 Hidden Springs Road, Suite A, and is currently open in the mornings and afternoons before and after work.
