The Hemet City Council approved the city’s new Strategic Plan for the next five years and the 2021-2022 budget with last minute amendments at the June 22 regular meeting.The new Strategic Plan helps direct the council’s course for the city’s budgets for its General Plan.The Plan also guides how the 76 sworn police officers and 49 sworn firefighters, city parks and other employees are to help the nearly 85,000 residents of the city.The Plan approved by the four current members of the council is divided into four basic parts: it’s vision, mission, values and goals.
