Old Town Temecula street dining to continue another year

When coronavirus restrictions limited indoor dining many restaurants utilized parking lots, and in some communities streets were closed so that patrons could dine outdoors in the street. The street dining itself became an attraction, and June 22 the Temecula City Council voted to extend street dining in Old Town Temecula for another year.The 4-0 vote, with James “Stew” Stewart absent, approves a resolution to continue the Temporary Extended Dining Program through June 30, 2022. The street dining is still considered temporary.In an attempt to assist restaurants facing reduced capacity and increased separation restrictions, in June 2020 the city council approved a temporary expanded dining and retail program in Old Town Temecula.
