The Riverside County University Health System said that the number of COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit cases increased over the past week from 85 to 97 and that the number of patients in hospitals overall grew from 384 to 479, from the week ending Aug. 6.The total number of cases recorded since the public health documentation period began in March 2020 grew from 313,931 to 319,733, according to RUHS, which also reported 4,685 deaths up by 18 since the week before.The fatalities are trailing indicators because of delays processing death certificates and can go back a month, according to health officials.Meanwhile, RUHS is attempting to collect statistics tied to the number of hospitalizations involving residents who have been partially or fully vaccinated, according to agency spokes
