All American Asphalt to repave Skinner treatment plant asphalt area
All American Asphalt was chosen to repave the asphalt pavement area in and around the Robert A. Skinner Water Treatment Plant in Winchester.The Skinner treatment plant is owned and operated by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, whose Tuesday, Jan. 11, board meeting included approval of a $1,936,977 contract to All American Asphalt. The work will rehabilitate approximately 430,000 square feet of existing deteriorated asphalt pavement.The Robert A. Skinner Water Treatment Plant began service in 1976, and over 45 years, the paved roads have deteriorated due to aging and surface wear. The roads are used to perform routine operation and maintenance activities, and during treatment plant rehabilitation efforts, those roads have seen heavy use. Some portions of the ro
