Temecula Valley Elks No. 2801 awards Ken Nordstom with Marvin M. Lewis Scouting Award

TEMECULA – Ken Nordstrom, member and Scouting chair of the Temecula Valley Elks Lodge No. 2801, was awarded the Marvin M. Lewis Scouting Award at a celebration of his career of 56 years in Scouting.Marvin M. Lewis served as Grand Exalted Ruler in 1982-1983. He had been a combat medic for 27 months during World War II and later operated his own jewelry store in Brawley. Lewis was always an active supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. He died Sept. 4, 2000. He left a legacy of untiring support for all things Elks and Scouting. The first Marvin M. Lewis Elks and Scouting Awards were presented in 1998.
