Supervisors approve rezone and map for San Jacinto Valley project

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors approved a rezone and tentative tract map for a 195-unit subdivision in the San Jacinto Valley.The supervisors' 5-0 vote March 10 approves a change of zone for the 45 acres to Planned Residential (R-4). In addition to the 195 single-family lots the map will have five open space lots which will provide for a park, paseos and basins. The supervisors also adopted an environmental Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project.The property is north of Palm Avenue, south of Olive Avenue, and west of Lincoln Avenue. Its zoning had been a combination of A-1-5 (Light Agriculture, 5 acre minimum), A-2-10 (Heavy Agriculture, 10 acre minimum), C-P-S (Scenic Highway Commercial), and R-T (Mobilehome Subdivisions and Mobilehome Parks).
