Suspect at large after woman killed in Hemet

HEMET  – A 57-year-old man was on the run today after killing a woman in a domestic violence attack in Hemet, authorities said.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Hemet station responded to the 42000 block of Faith Drive in East Hemet at around 11:40 p.m. Friday to a report of unknown trouble. They found a 40-year-old woman inside the residence suffering from traumatic injuries to her upper body.
Emergency medical personnel responded, but the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Authorities determined the case was a domestic violence-related homicide based on witness statements, sheriff’s officials said.
The victim was identified as Brandi Galindo of Hemet, and the suspect was identified as Paul Galindo, 57, also a Hemet resident.
Galindo allegedly fled the area prior to deputies’ arrival and his whereabouts were unknown. The investigation was ongoing.
