The Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District has awarded McCall’s Meters, Inc., a contract to test EVWMD meters.
The EVMWD board voted 4-0 March 13, with Darcy Burke absent, to approve a three-year contract with the Hemet Company. McCall’s Meters will be paid $132,300, and if two one-year optional extensions are exercised, an additional $88,200 will increase the total contract amount to $220,500.
The district annually tests 140 retail meters and 40 production/district metered area meters to ensure that the accuracy of flow measurement is maintained at an acceptable range as set by the American Water Works Association manual on the selection, testing, installation, and maintenance of water meters.
